Where the career started, the childhood influences, the university years, the first work environments that formed the operating instincts I still use today.
Early 2000s · Hungary
Growing up in the golden era of Hungarian rallying
I grew up in the golden era of Hungarian rallying, but not just from the grandstands. My father was part of one of the country’s top rally teams, so from a very early age I was watching the sport from the inside: paddocks, service parks, the working end of a race weekend. Standing on hillsides listening to engines came later; the first thing I ever saw up close was how a team actually runs. That’s the reason motorsport was never a career choice for me later on, it was already inside me.

Multiple race events attended as a team member, the emotional foundation.
Skills used / learned
Fan-first perspective on motorsport · early instinct for what makes an event work.

Era 1, First encounters with motorsport 2015–2020
The years motorsport got its hooks in professionally. The ETRC weekends at the Hungaroring were the door back into the world I’d grown up watching, and the 2018 feasibility study was the first time I saw a circuit development from the inside.
2015–2020 · Hungaroring, Mogyoród · 6 editions

Era 2, Building Hungary’s motorsport calendar 2018–2024
The most intense chapter of my career. Multiple projects running in parallel, rally, motorbikes, karting, government strategy, circuit development. Each stop is its own card.
Making a dream come true, a decade after being just a young boy at rallying events, I put together a candidate event in 2018 with host city Nyíregyháza, aiming to bring the FIA European Rally Championship to Hungary. It worked. From 2019 we ran three tarmac editions in Nyíregyháza, 40,000–60,000 spectators each, and lived through the promoter transition between Eurosport Events and WRC Promoter GmbH. After a year’s break, we shifted formats at the promoter’s request and delivered two gravel editions at Lake Balaton with host city Veszprém, producing thrilling races and viral race moments. Organising a rally event is the ultimate event-production experience: environmental authorities, government agencies, FIA sporting and safety compliance, commercial, marketing, hospitality and F&B, all at once, over a country-scale footprint.
Key facts
5 editions delivered across 2019–2024 (3 tarmac in Nyíregyháza, 2 gravel in Veszprém).
Spectators of 40,000–60,000 per edition.
Secured ~€1M in public funding alongside private partners.
Lived through the promoter transition from Eurosport Events to WRC Promoter GmbH.
Successfully converted surface (tarmac → gravel) mid-history at the promoter’s request.

Skills used / learned
Public-private funding stack design (~€1M) · FIA sanctioning-file management · large-scale outdoor event production across a country-scale footprint · working simultaneously with environmental authorities, government agencies, sporting and safety authorities, commercial, marketing, hospitality & F&B · promoter transition management · surface-conversion event redesign.
Rally Hungary 2020, an international event delivered under FIA Appendix S
Most of the 2020 international calendar was cancelled. We ran ours. Rally Hungary went ahead on 6–8 November 2020, at the peak of Europe’s second wave, days before Hungary moved to a national curfew, under the FIA’s newly created Appendix S to the International Sporting Code, the COVID-19 Code of Conduct, making us one of the earliest international motorsport events to operate under the framework. The hard part was never the race. A rally has no perimeter fence, so we had to build and hold a closed biosecure “bubble” linking rally HQ, the service park and the official event hotels, across a country-scale, multi-region footprint rather than a single enclosed venue, while complying with two rulebooks at once: the FIA’s protocols and Hungary’s national restrictions, both moving week to week. The event ran to completion and drew positive recognition from every party involved: the FIA, the promoter, the teams and the host authorities.
Key facts
Delivered 6–8 November 2020, at the height of the pandemic’s second wave, days before Hungary’s national curfew came into force.
Among the earliest international motorsport events run under FIA Appendix S, COVID-19 Code of Conduct (introduced 19 June 2020, extended across FIA championships and international series that summer).
Built and enforced a closed “bubble” across rally HQ, service park and official event hotels, over a multi-region rally footprint, not a single enclosed venue.
Dual compliance: FIA sporting protocols plus Hungarian government health regulations, both changing during the build-up.
